The longest book title in the world

I’m hoping this’ll eventually be revealed as just a working title. Or an elaborate joke:

Fleeced: How Barack Obama, Media Mockery of Terrorist Threats, Liberals Who Want To Kill Talk Radio, The Do-Nothing Congress, Companies That Help Iran, And Washington Lobbyists For Foreign Governments Are Scamming Us…And What To Do About It

Well, at least you won’t misunderstand the book’s central thesis! I wouldn’t presume to know much about the marketing of lightly-researched conservative moan-tomes, but if I was to come across a book that told me Barack Obama, the media, all liberals, Congress, treacherous companies and Washington lobbyists were all conspiring to scam the little guy, I think I’d be too demoralised to think what little old me could do about it. Talk about deflating your audience. There’s also the small matter of wondering how you’d fit that title on the front cover, but perhaps conservatives are keen on small lettering.

From commenter Joepoe over at Ezra Klein’s blog (which is where I found the link)

I’m pretty sure I could sell a book just by titling it thusly:

Sandwiched: How lettuce, tomato, Bavarian ham, capricola, mayo, dijon mustard, two slices of Provel, another layer of lettuce, and two slices of wheat bread conspire to make my lunch… and what I plan to do about it

The possibilities are endless…
