Karadzic arrested

Good. For everyone who despaired when Milosevic died whilst his trial was still ongoing (he was held in the Hague for five years – time enough, you’d think, to prosecute a genocidal maniac), Karadzic’s arrest gives hope that his victims might still see justice brought. That said, given the excruciating length of time it took to prosecute Milosevic, I think the time for making predictions about the credibility of the War Crimes Tribunal should probably be after Karadzic’s trial has ended. There’s no point prematurely getting people’s hopes up just yet.

  1. I miss those days.
    I miss Milosevic.
    I miss Saddam.

    Shooting the breeze,
    having a laugh,
    living their lives.

    I long for a return.
I long for another war crimes tribunal.

    Bring on the love.
    Bring it on.

  2. Ah, I see you’ve started writing poetry again.

I imagine Karadzic is going to want a pen-pal in prison; don’t think he can speak English though, so you may have some communication difficulties at first

  3. See you in London VERY soon.
