Authonomy, a new social networking sites for writers, book-lovers and talent-spotters, was just launched a few weeks ago by Harper Collins. No, I don’t think their motivation is altruism, but it’s still a really cool, well-designed resource for anyone interested in discovering new writing without hovering aimlessly around your nearers Borders. Encouragingly, the community it’s attracted seems to be one that’s interested primarily in constructive discussion, which is a pleasant rarity for the internet. Go check it out.
