Ideas for living

Ever wanted to disprove the theory that the right has all the best ideas? Well, now you can.

As part of its Programme For Renewal campaign, Compass has launched an online contest for ways of making the country a more pleasant place to live in. Whilst they probably won’t accept ‘appoint me Lord Protector’ or ‘replace the Queen with Cheryl Cole‘, they’ll gladly accept new ideas from the left about how social/economic policy could be improved. The submissions received so far are as diverse as ditching Trident, reducing inequality and the admirably ambitious goal of ending all violence against women.

The ideas will be judged by an illustrious expert panel and the winner will see this well-connected pressure group begin a campaign to make it happen. You can go here to set the world country to rights.
